Favorite (or not so favorite) Obsessions

Now that my second book has come out, I find myself emotionally involved with my Amazon Sales Rank. A very unhealthy practice I can assure you, because it is a very fickle beast. One sale can (sometimes, depending on the situation) jump you from the 500,000s to the 150,000s. To use a term I heard in car sales, “you can go from zero to hero real quick.” As I try to come up with a way to wean myself off of the high I get when I find I have gone up in the ranks, I’m wondering what are my readers’ favorite (or not so favorite) obsessions? What makes them crazy one minute and happy the next? Please share in the comments below, and happy reading!
