Same story, different ways of telling it

An idea for a new book has been floating around in my head for a while now. I thought I was sure what direction I wanted to go with it, until now. My curiosity about magical realism has been waving its hands at me lately, and what was going to be another action adventure may take on the tone of a dark, misty dream. There’s nothing wrong with action adventure. In fact, I’m a big fan. But The Extraction List Series is going to be four books long, and the idea of doing something completely different is definitely appealing. But most importantly, it has to ultimately be what’s good for the story. Only time (and writing) will tell. Until then, happy reading!
